I'm not really sure if I've encountered this before... A wine that TASTES good but leaves you with the quick drunkeness of a cheap wine. For me, I am always able to drink quite a bit of a good wine in one sitting, but a cheap one always beats me. Beats me in terms of the fact I can't polish off a bottle with no hangover, and will feel pretty much immediately drunk.
By the way, I served it to my mom 2 nights in a row, and she INDEPENDENTLY brought up the fact that the wine was making her a bit more loopy than normal.
So, I'm not really quite backing this one as an everyday wine. HOWEVER, I am definitely backing this one as a party wine. What a steal! $6.99 a bottle at Cost Plus / World Market - it tastes goods and is guaranteed to make your party rock.

hey jen (or was that jenn with 2 n's). so i thought i would be adventuresome and went out to buy a bottle of wine that i never tried.....hated it! so, i'm back on your blog looking for new wines to try. did you watch the hills finale. i think lauren is a self centered, spoiled brat that can only manage one friend at a time. poor audrina. but i like whitney the best. and what about idol. randy hopes that david a wont win. he cant bear to watch him sing...well randy doesn't like to watch anyone sing...except maybe brady. how are the kids? kevin keeps counting the number of school days he has left for summer. so does randy. what is wrong with this picture? i should be home during the summer! oh well...time to drink a glass of wine
I've got a whole bunch of bottles on the dining room table to upload... some good, some bad. Hopefully I'll get them up tonight! I have to make sure my Audrey can drink...
FYI - this is a wine that Aaron (the one that sat on the other side of Audrey's cube) used to drink.
